Testimonials

For some of our groups, Hunua Falls Camp is a totally new experience. Others have been coming for years. Schools, businesses, families and church groups are all attracted to the peaceful environment, Hunua Falls and forest park adventures. They also like having the freedom to organise things like catering and onsite activities the way they choose.

We held a Scrappin’ Weekend at the Camp and it was absolutely PERFECT for our needs! The fire in the corner made a winter camp a perfect option for a bunch of Creative Memories scrapbook makers! We used the main hall for making pages all day and all night, too, if people so chose and the kitchen was a perfect size for cooking as well as eating at the big table when we were hungry. The cabins were superb for our ladies who ranged in age from 10 years old to 75 years old as the mattresses were soft and not noisy and the heaters meant we could warm up the rooms before bedtime and have it all warm and cozy. The glorious natural surroundings meant that some used the opportunity away from the city to go for walks and soak up the beauty of the falls and the bush. All in all this was a perfect setting for us all to enjoy a weekend away from our day to day lives creating pages in a warm and hospitable environment! Thanks so much for such an excellent weekend!

We have been using Hunua Falls camp for our autumn university students camp. It’s a camp which has great options for accommodation, a great kitchen for self catering, and two good areas for group meetings. The scenery is beautiful, and the grounds are great too for fun outside activities. When we go it’s getting towards the cold part of the year. Hunua provide lots of heaters in the rooms so that our attendees sleep pretty well. It’s away from any close neighbours so you don't have to worry too much about noise restrictions. But it's also pretty close to Auckland so that you don't need to travel too far to get there.

Hunua Falls are a wonderful facility for our school choirs. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the facilities are very conducive to choral learning.

"We have attended the Hunua Falls Presbyterian Camp annually since April 2007. Over the years there has been constant improvement and development. We experienced the building phase in 2007 during which the new dormitory block was built. This has been a wonderful addition to a very user-friendly facility and we will continue to use this camp.

The camp management staff are very friendly, totally obliging and efficient. They certainly have made our camp experiences easy and all requests for assistance have been immediately attended to. Brenton and Glenn are to be commended for this.

I have found the facilities to be well kept and I enjoy the proximity to the Hunua Falls and the ranges. Our children thoroughly enjoy the environment and we hope to continue to make use of this facility."

Hunua Falls camp is a well set up, well maintained complex on an awesome site.
For many years our Music School ran annual Camps here making the most of the facilities and the location near Hunua Falls and various outdoor activities. With the various combinations of cabins, staff accommodation  and common areas we were able to run successful Camps for our group for 27 years. For getting away from everything but still being within close proximity to Auckland, Hunua Falls Camp is the ideal venue to create memories and have fun.
