We have been using Hunua Falls camp for our autumn university students camp. It’s a camp which has great options for accommodation, a great kitchen for self catering, and two good areas for group meetings. The scenery is beautiful, and the grounds are great too for fun outside activities.

About us

The land for Hunua Falls Camp was purchased in 1919, when the nearest road was 10 km away in Papakura. A building site was selected close to the spectacular Hunua Falls and beside a delightful stream with a deeper area for swimming. Today the property covers 30 acres. A steady building programme has updated and extended the facilities available. The most recent addition was a new bunkroom and toilet/shower block in 2007.

Purpose
Hunua Falls Camp exists to help provide affordable outdoor and residential camping experiences to enrich the lives of New Zealanders and our visitors from overseas.

Availability
The camp is available to any group that’s willing to accept the terms and conditions of use. Bookings are essential and exclusive access is granted for the time of your stay.

Ownership
Owned and operated by the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, the camp is administered by a board of volunteers. Camp management is provided by an onsite custodian.
